Penn State Vs. Indiana State: New Uniforms, STEP And Curtis Drake

Greetings from Beaver Stadium. We're about 25 minutes from kickoff between Indiana State and Penn State at the top of the hour. Some news and notes to start the day:

-Rob Bolden was the first Nittany Lion off the team bus, so he's pretty clearly the starting quarterback today. Like Joe Paterno said earlier in the week, Matt McGloin will play, but it looks like Bolden has take a slim lead in this quarterback competition heading into the first major contest against Alabama next week.

-Wide receiver Curtis Drake is dressed and was just catching passes from Bolden in warmups. Whether we'll see him in the action today remains to be seen, but at the very least it looks like he's close to returning.

-It's a little hazy here in Happy Valley, but it's comfortable football weather.

-The new uniforms don't look much different from the old ones from way up here in the press box.

-STEP has shifted the student section behind the endzone, so it looks a little weird. It'll take some getting used to.

Stay tuned for updates from Beaver Stadium all afternoon here at SB Nation Pittsburgh.
