Penn State Vs. Indiana State: Mike Zordich Pushes Nittany Lions' Lead To 21-0

The Sycamores just missed a 43-yard field goal, so the Penn State defense is still pitching a shutout here early in the second quarter.

Matthew McGloin has taken over at quarterback for the Lions. Rob Bolden was 2-5 for nine yards in the first quarter, so we'll see if McGloin can top that in this period. He just hit his first pass, a 9-yarder to Derek Moye, so he's off to a good start.

Penn State appears to be making a conscious decision to get the fullbacks the ball. Joe Suhey was active in the first quarter and Mike Zordich has two first downs already on this drive...and just as I write that, he puts Penn State up 21-0 with a 1-yard touchdown run. Wow. Both fullbacks have been weapons today. Don't think a lot of people were expecting that, but here we are. Something to keep an eye on heading into next week against Alabama.

With 8:55 left in the half, Penn State is up 21-0.
