The Indiana Hoosiers defeated Penn State 73-54 after the Nittany Lions shot 17-of-50 from the field. Cammeron Woodyard shot 2-for-11 en route to a six-point performance. Tim Frazier led the Nittany Lions with 21 points on 7-of-18 shooting.
Cody Zeller went 7-of-8 with 18 points for the Hoosiers.
Penn State led throughout much of the first half and took a 29-27 lead into the locker room as Frazier and Jermaine Marshall led the PSU offense. In the second half, however, Penn State drifted further and further behind, while allowing the Hoosiers to make shot after shot. Indiana tacked on a number of points to what would eventually be a 19-point victory by shooting foul shots in the last several minutes, but the Nittany Lions were down nine points or more throughout the last 10 minutes of the second half.
Indiana held a moment of silence for former Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno, who had died earlier Sunday morning.
