Penn State Vs. Wisconsin: Nittany Lions Thinking Upset, Ahead 23-17 At Half

Penn State took a 23-17 lead into halftime against No. 20 Wisconsin on Tuesday night at the Bryce Jordan Center on the strength of some solid defense.

The Nittany Lions held the Badgers to 26.9 percent shooting in the half and grabbed 20 rebounds, 15 off Wisconsin misses. The offense, too, came together relatively well as Penn State shot 45.8 percent from the field itself, although the Lions were just 1-4 from 3-point territory.

Jermaine Marshall finished the period with a game-high 10 points to go with three rebounds and an assist. Tim Frazier and Jonathan Graham pitched in four points each.

Jordan Taylor led the Badgers with just five points on 2-7 shooting from the field. Wisconsin did have four players register on the score sheet in the half, however.
