Penn State will look to derail Northwestern's unbeaten season as the Wildcats come to Beaver Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Bradley Leeb-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Penn State Nittany Lions, currently riding a three-game winning streak, will host the No. 24 and undefeated Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.

After dropping their first two contests of the season, Penn State (3-2, 1-0 Big Ten) has rattled off wins over Navy, Temple and most recently, Illinois, last Saturday in the team's first Big Ten tilt. The Nittany Lions defense has been a major factor so far, allowing only an average of 13.6 points per game, good for 14th best in the nation.

Northwestern (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten) is currently sitting atop the Big Ten's Legends division a week after notching its first conference victory of the season over the Indiana Hoosiers, 44-29. Back in 2010, the Wildcats' last trip to Happy Valley ended with a 35-21 loss. They also dropped last year's meeting, 34-24. Northwestern hasn't defeated Penn State since 2004.

The oddsmakers over at OddsShark currently have the Nittany Lions favored by two points with an over/under of 47.

Kickoff is set for Noon ET at Beaver Stadium, and the game can be seen on ESPN.
