NCAA Football Rankings 2012: Penn State receives votes in BlogPoll

Fresh off an impressive 45-22 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday, the Penn State Nittany Lions received three votes in this week's installment of SB Nation's BlogPoll. The BlogPoll is compiled by tabulating the Top 25 rankings according to all of the college football-centric sites in the SB Nation network, in addition to contributions from sites outside the network.

The highest vote Penn State received this week came from the Iowa Hawkeyes blog, Black Heart Gold Pants, who placed the team at No. 21 overall. In addition, the team received two votes at No. 24 overall; one coming from the Colorado Buffaloes blog, The Ralphie Report, and the other coming from the Virginia blog, From Old Virginia.

In terms of the Top 25, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish came in at No. 1 overall (receiving 63 first place votes), while the Alabama Crimson Tide finished in second and the Oregon Ducks in third.
