2012 Big Ten Football Standings: Nebraska, Wisconsin set for title game

The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Wisconsin Badgers are set to face-off in the Big Ten Championship Game.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers won the Big Ten's Legends Division and a spot in the conference's title game thanks to their hard-fought 13-7 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday.

Nebraska and Michigan both entered the weekend 6-1 in Big Ten play, but the Cornhuskers held the tiebreaker, meaning the Wolverines' only chance to win the Legends was a Nebraska loss followed by a win over Ohio State. Neither of those things happened. The Northwestern Wildcats finished third in the division with a 5-3 conference record.

Nebraska will be facing the Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten Championship Game by default, because both Ohio State and Penn State are ineligible for postseason play. The Buckeyes finished the year undefeated, while the Nittany Lions went a surprising 6-2 in conference and 8-4 overall. The Badgers went 4-4 in the Big Ten and 7-5 overall.
