The Penn State Nittany Lions will try to rebound from a loss last week when they hit the road to play the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Penn State, which is coming off a 35-23 loss to Ohio State last week, is a 3 1/2-point favorite Saturday.

The Nittany Lions had won five in a row before the Buckeyes halted the streak. Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes but it wasn't enough to catch Ohio State. The Nittany Lions are 5-3 (3-1) this season.

The Boilermakers (3-5, 0-4) started the season 3-1 but have lost four games in a row. Purdue gave up 34 first-half points in a 44-28 loss to Minnesota last week.

The last time Purdue beat Penn State was 2004. The Boilermakers won, 20-13.

McGloin leads the Nittany Lions into Saturday's game. He's completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,115 yards. He's thrown 16 touchdowns and three interceptions.
