Nittany Lion defensive lineman was invited to, and will play in, the prestigious all-star game.

US PRESSWIRE

Penn State Nittany Lions star defensive lineman Jordan Hill is taking his talents to Mobile, Ala., the site of the 2012 Senior Bowl, according to Bob Flounders of The Patriot-News.

On Monday, the All-Big Ten Conference First-Team selection accepted an invitation to play in the annual event, which will be held Jan. 26 (4 p.m. ET on the NFL Network) . The Senior Bowl is a multiple-day showcase for college football seniors who want to show NFL scouts and front office brass what they can do.

Hill (6'1, 294) had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee a few weeks ago, and will need to prove to NFL decision makers he is fully recovered from the surgery.

This season, Hill compiled 64 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks for the Nittany Lions. The Steel-High graduate collected 12 tackles, three for a loss, in Penn State's thrilling 24-21 victory over the Wisconsin Badgers.
