Penn State received a verbal commitment from defensive end Curtis Cothran on Monday, according to Ryan Snyder of BlueWhiteIllustrated.com. Cothran is the latest addition to Bill O'Brien's recruiting class.
↵Cothran measures 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. A product of Castle Rock North High School in Newton, PA, Cothran was on campus over the weekend. He received an offer to play at Penn State on Saturday, according to another report. Cothran visited Virginia, Maryland and Rutgers as well.

↵Bill O'Brien, the Nittany Lions' new head coach, has been busy recruiting lately. The team got a commitment from Akeel Lynch, of St. Francis High School near Buffalo, NY, recently. Lynch spurned offers from other schools to play for Penn State. Former Maryland quarterback Danny O'Brien was on campus for a second visit on Monday.
