Penn State picked up their ninth commitment for the current recruiting class on Monday. Three-star defensive back Neiko Robinson is the latest name on the list. Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the news is that Robinson is the first commitment from the state of Florida the team has had in a decade, according to PennLive.com.
Robinson was not included on the list of most recruiting services. He is being described as an under the radar talent. According to reports, he possesses good power and a good form for tackling.
Robinson measures 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds. There is no word on his straight-line speed, but the report has it estimated at 4.51 seconds. Despite his 40 time, he is considered a powerful hitter with good closing speed, important attributes for a defensive back. You can see some of his highlights in the video below.
