In light of the new information that has been brought to light by Thursday's release of the Freeh Report, questions have been raised about the status of current or former Penn State employees who were involved in the cover-up of Jerry Sandusky's sexual abuse of children on the Penn State campus. Now-former wide receivers Mike McQueary has constantly been in the news due to his witnessing of an assault on the PSU campus, but he is no longer with the university.

When the scandal first came to the surface in the middle of the 2011 football season, McQueary left his position as wide receivers coach, but was not fired and never formally resigned. It's likely that this is because his contract was set to expire this summer anyway, and he is no longer a Penn State employee.
