Penn State Nittany Lions head coach Bill O'Brien is schedule to hold a press conference Monday, Dustin Hockensmith of PennLive.com reported on Friday.
The presser will come days after O'Brien reportedly signed a new contract extension with the university in the wake of conducting a handful of NFL job interviews.
Over the past week, O'Brien was one of the hot college commodities to fill one of the NFL's seven head coaching vacancies, as he helped Penn State finish with a 8-4 overall record during a time of turmoil. The former New England Patriots offensive coordinator reportedly met with the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles.
It is unclear what O'Brien and the administration plan on saying during the news conference, which is set to start at 9 a.m. However, one can assume O'Brien is going to address his commitment to the Penn State football program and the university, which reached deep into its pockets (via a donation) to keep O'Brien in State College.
