Birch's Commitment May Help Bring In Others

Top players beget top players.

With top 50 player Steven Adams and top five player Khem Birch already in the fold, Pitt and Jamie Dixon are turning their attention to other top players, including guard Omar Calhoun. Calhoun is a four-star recruit as rated by both Rivals and Scout and one of the top guards in the class of 2012.

And apparently, his family is taking notice. NBE reports via their Facebook page that his father says they definitely like the addition of Birch:

“I love the pickup. Pitt is definitely a favorite for us,” Omar Calhoun Sr. told NBE’s Ray Mernagh regarding Pitt getting a verbal commit from Khem Birch and how Pitt rates with his son, 2012 shooting guard .

Pitt is positioning itself for a class that’s rated in the top ten – or higher.
