Pitt's Jabaal Sheard And Penn State's Stefen Wisniewski Named AFCA All-Americans

Pitt's Jabaal Sheard capped off a tumultuous year by being named as an AFCA All-American. The Pitt DE turned things around after his assault case this Summer, by having a huge season, despite the absence of teammate Greg Romeus most of the year. When Romeus went down due to injury, Romeus was repeatedly double-teamed. Despite the heavy presence, Sheard still managed his best season at Pitt with 45 tackles, nine sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, and four fumbles.

Penn State's OL Stefen Wisniewski was also named to the 25-man team. Wisniewski, from Central Catholic in Pittsburgh, has started nearly every game he's played in (37 of 38) for the Nittany Lions. He is also a three-time Academic All-American and is expected to be an All-Conference first team selection for the second straight season.

The AFCA All-American team is selected by a panel of college football coaches.
