Gilbert Brown Named Big East Player Of The Week

Pitt forward Gilbert Brown was named the Big East Player of the Week for the first time in his career. He won the award based on his performance this past week in Pitt's only game against Maryland Eastern Shore.

Brown had a career-high 28 points, and also added five rebounds, five assists and a steal. He also had one of the best shooting nights of his career going 9-11 from the field, 4-5 from three-point range and 2-2 at the free throw line. Brown is the second Pitt player to win the award this season as Ashton Gibbs won it earlier this year.
