Jamie Dixon And Suzie McConnell-Serio Named Dapper Dan Sportsman And Sportswoman Of The Year

Jamie Dixon was named as the Post-Gazette Dapper Dan Sportsman of the Year. Dixon won the award for his team's achievements last year. Pitt earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament last year and won 25 games

Dixon's predecessor, Ben Howland, also won the award in 2002.

Former Penn State basketball player and current Duquesne women's head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio was named as the Sportswoman of the Year. She previously won the award in 1999 as a WNBA player and led Duquesne to a 20-win season last year.
