Pitt forward Nasir Robinson returned to the Panthers' starting lineup on Monday night against Connecticut and made a quick impact, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in his team's 78-63 win.
↵Robinson missed time early this season win a torn meniscus but came back quickly and has averaged 6.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in his limited action so far this season. When he replaced freshman Talib Zanna in the starting lineup for Monday's win, Robinson says it gave him a boost.
↵↵↵"It gave me a lot of confidence" Robinson said. "I went hard in practice, and it worked out. It really didn't matter (who started). I just wanted to come out and play my game."

Coach Jamie Dixon was pleased with the switch at the position on Monday and likes it moving forward.
↵↵↵"It's something we've been talking about for a while," Dixon said. "I think (Robinson) is playing really well. I think Talib is better off coming off the bench. ... With that rotation, I feel pretty good about it. I know we are going to get good production out of that spot."

Pitt will travel to Providence next Tuesday before hosting Marquette on Jan. 8 at the Petersen Events Center.
