Pitt Will Face Test In Florida International

Pitt should expect a test when Florida International comes to visit this weekend. FIU is 0-3, but has been leading in each of its games into the fourth quarter. Problem is, FIU hasn't been able to close them out.

The team lost a fourth quarter lead to Rutgers in its opener then somehow lost a 20-6 fourth-quarter lead to Texas A&M. It was leading Maryland going into the fourth quarter again last week before falling. The team has been outscored 41-7 in the fourth quarter this season, which has obviously been its downfall.

Pitt will need to jump out ahead this week as the team's offense has not shown the ability to score at will this season. Based on FIU's track record and the game being a home game for the Panthers, I would expect Pitt to win a close game heading into the fourth quarter. But the team would make it much easier on itself by putting FIU away early.

Head over to Cardiac Hill for an extended preview of the game.
