Former Pitt football coach Dave Wannstedt wasn't out of a job very long. After interviewing with the Cleveland Browns for their defensive coordinator job only the day before, Wannstedt has reportedly accepted a job to coach the Buffalo Bills' linebackers. Buffalo head coach Chan Gailey is glad to have Wannstedt and his defensive experience aboard:
↵↵↵"We are extremely pleased to have Dave Wannstedt join our staff," Gailey said. "I look forward to him being able to help our team in many ways. With his amount of experience, he certainly should be able to do that."

Wannstedt and Gailey have previously coached together. When Wannstedt was the head coach for the Miami Dolphins, Chan Gailey was his offensive coordinator.
↵The former Pitt coach was only out of work for a little over a month and his success as an NFL defensive coach was a big reason why several teams including the Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers, and San Diego Chargers were reportedly interested in him.
