Pitt Coach Todd Graham Leaving For Arizona State

Reports indicate Pitt coach Todd Graham is heading west.

In a shocking turn of events early this afternoon, it appears Pitt coach Todd Graham could be on his way out of Oakland.

Hired close to a year ago to replace Dave Wannstedt, Graham led the Panthers to a 6-6 season in 2011. They'll face Southern Methodist in the BBVA Compass Bowl on Jan. 7, 2012 in Birmingham, Ala.

If early reports are to be believed, however, they'll be doing so without Todd Graham and his self-anointed "High Octane" offense.

Several Pitt players have already made indirect references to the reported news on Twitter, too.

So birmingham will be the EXACT same as last year. This is crazy

...and quarterback Tino Sunseri.

Stay tuned for more news on this breaking story when it becomes available. The key story here is that, one year after the departure of Dave Wannstedt, it appears Pitt will be hunting for a head coach yet again. It's a tough situation for Pitt and their players, but perhaps it's one the school should have seen coming - Graham had earlier left both Rice and Tulsa.
