Todd Graham Leaves Pitt: Players Continue To React

The Pitt football team is reeling early this afternoon with news that coach Todd Graham has accepted the head coaching position at Arizona State, replacing the fired Dennis Erickson.

With the Panthers now set to begin their third head coaching search in just over a year, players continue to react in comments to reporters and posted on their Twitter pages.

ESPN's Joe Schad:

One Pitt player said: "I was told to check my phone and I said 'Wow' I couldn't believe it was real. I was shocked."

Needless to say, the players are pretty fired up. Not only has administration fired Dave Wannstedt, a coach many current Panthers played under, but also hired Mike Haywood and Todd Graham, both of whom left the program in one form or another in less than a year. It's hard to imagine how they're feeling in the middle of all of this news.
