Pitt's new head football coach Paul Chryst picked up a key member for his coaching staff with Bob Bostad last week. Bostad was the offensive line coach at Wisconsin, but left to take the offensive coordinator position with the Panthers.
↵Chryst, however, wasn't as successful with his second attempt to snag a Badgers coach. He reportedly offered the defensive coordinator position to Wisconsin's linebackers coach Dave Huxtable, but Huxtable is staying put:
↵↵↵"I'm coming back," Huxtable said during the Rose Bowl media day. "It's 100 percent right now."
↵When asked if that means it could change, Huxtable said, "It's 100 percent."
↵
Huxtable had two linebackers make the Big Ten's First Team this year. He has also been a defensive coordinator in the past at Central Florida, so he would have brought some experience to the position. But Chryst will need to look elsewhere to fill that spot.
