One of the biggest dominoes in National Signing Day just fell, and it's a little bit of a surprise which direction it tumbled.
Here's some news. RT @BobLichtenfels: 5* DT Delvon Simmons commits to UNC (Was assumed to be between USC and Oregon)
This is a bit of a surprise considering Simmons had eliminated UNC from the list of schools that he was considering just a few weeks ago. Over that time they made their way back into his good graces, and ended up being the school that he chose. It is a big get for North Carolina, who continues to do a great job in recruiting despite the specter of NCAA sanctions.
For Pitt, it is a bit of a disappointment, but not a totally unexpected one. As you can see in the above tweet, most people thought he would be choosing between the two PAC-10 schools. I think Pitt might have only stayed in the running this long because they were local. But still, it's a disappointment.
