Big East blogger at ESPN.com, Brian Bennett, is wrapping up his annual top 25 postseason football team. You may be thinking 'Isn't it a little late for that?' since we're in the middle of March.
↵Well, yes. Yes it is.
↵Still, Bennett ranked five Pitt players in the Big East top 25 list. Dion Lewis, who topped the preseason list, finished a disappointing No. 20. Going from 1,800 yards to barely over 1,000 will do that to you.
↵Offensive lineman Jason Pinkston came in at No. 16, wide receiver Jon Baldwin was No. 15, and defensive end Brandon Lindsey, a surprise for Pitt, came in at No. 13 after having a monster season in Greg Romeus' absence.
↵Fellow DE Jabaal Sheard was the highest-ranked Pitt player at No. 2. After winning the conference's Defensive Player of the Year award, tough to argue with that spot.
↵The No. 1 player hasn't yet been named, but it will assuredly be the Offensive Player of the Year, UConn running back Jordan Todman.
