Fans of Pitt and West Virginia basketball can officially breathe a sigh of relief, as Connecticut standout and first-team All-American Kemba Walker is declaring for the NBA Draft:
↵↵↵UConn will hold a press conference Tuesday at Gampel Pavilion for an annoucement involving Walker. While a press advisory made no mention of Walker's intentions, a source has confirmed that Walker has indeed played his final game for the Huskies.
↵Walker, a junior who is very close to graduating, is projected as a late lottery or mid-first round selection in the NBA Draft, to be held in June.
↵
Walker certainly went out with a bang, leading the Huskies to a national championship this year.
↵Walker scored 31 points in UConn's 78-62 loss to Pitt in December and 22 in the Huskies' 65-56 loss to WVU in early March, then scored 24 as UConn eliminated Pitt from the Big East Tournament. He scored 965 points for Connecticut this year.
