Yes, the 2011 college football recruiting season is essentially over. Don't tell that to Pitt head coach Todd Graham, though. Graham is still adding players and this week, got another - former UAB recruit wide receiver Josh Brinson.
↵Brinson is a JUCO player who, after being headed to UAB in 2008, didn't qualify. So he headed to JUCO and now will be coming to Pitt's class this year. He didn't put up huge numbers last season (37 catches, 498 yards, three touchdowns), but will give Graham some much needed depth in his fast-paced offense.
↵It's a mystery how much Brinson will be able to contribute this season. With Spring camp coming up, he's already going to be behind. If he hasn't redshirted in JUCO, he'll have a redshirt available at Pitt. Learning a new offense is already difficult. Learning a unique one without the benefit of Spring ball could be extremely challenging. But Pitt has several receivers that should be ahead of Brinson on the depth chart, so it might not be inconceivable for him to contribute as a reserve.
