Kolby Gray And Dan Schneider Leave Pitt Football Program

Kolby Gray and Dan Schneider are leaving Todd Graham's football program. The only thing is that it's not exactly sure where they're headed.

↵

It was believed that Gray was going to Baylor, and that even made sense as he was recruited to Pitt by new Baylor defensive coordinator Phil Bennett. Gray was switched to safety from quarterback at Pitt, so Bennett was also familiar with his defensive capabilities. But the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review broke the news that Gray was headed back to his hometown area to potentially begin a country music career.

Gray was swtiched from quarterback to safety, back to quarterback, and then to safety again ... so it's easy to see why he may have been frustrated. Add in the fact that Pitt's secondary is getting awfully crowded next year with the additions of recruit Lafayette Pitts and transfers Cullen Christian and Ray Vinopal, and this move makes sense.

Too early to tell at this point just what is going on.

And that's not the only conflict right now. Tight end Dan Schneider is also going through the exit door, but it's unknown if his shoulder injury is causing him to retire or if he's just transferring closer to home.
