Pitt Panthers, Duquesne Dukes, To Square Off In City Game November 30

Sources close to the Duquesne and Pitt athletic departments are saying the 2011 edition of The City Game will be played November 30 at Consol Energy Center.

Neither team has released a full schedule as of yet, but the game is traditionally played on the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving.

Tickets will go on sale August 1.

There are also reports from donors that the Dukes will also play Penn State and Atlantic-10 foe Dayton at Consol during the 2011-2012 season. Pitt currently has no plans to play any more games in Pittsburgh away from the cozy confines of the Petersen Event Center.

For those interested in buying tickets to the second- and third-round games of the 2012 NCAA Tournament that will be played at Consol, no date has been set for a general sale to the public. Since Duquesne University is hosting the games, purchasing season ticket plans for the basketball team will guarantee seats to all sessions of games.
