Pitt's 2012 recruiting class was already off to an amazing start with the early commitment from Scout's No. 8 overall and five-star prospect Steven Adams. Now the Panthers have a true point guard to add with him in James Robinson.
↵Robinson is another highly touted recruit and a consensus four-star recruit according to Rivals and Scout. There's some conflicting opinions about offers for each, but both sites say he had offers from Georgetown and Notre Dame in addition to others.
↵Pitt fills a huge need by signing Robinson. The team's true point guards include Travon Woodall and Isaiah Epps right now. Woodall will be a senior when Robinson comes to camp and while Epps will only be a redshirt sophomore, he'll likely have little experience. The door will be wide open for Robinson to not only contribute, but do so relatively early.
