Brock DeCicco Transfers From Pitt To Wisconsin

As expected, Brock DeCicco transferred out of the Pitt program. On Friday, it was known that he was headed to Wisconsin.

DeCicco left practice during the Fall and while it wasn't clear where he was going if he transferred, it made sense that he would choose a school that was interested in him when he was being recruited out of high school. At that time, he reportedly had offers from Wisconsin, Tennessee, Maryland, and Iowa, among others.

DeCicco was expected to fight for time with tight end transfer Hubie Graham this season with the departure of former starter Mike Cruz. But in head coach Todd Graham's system, DeCicco's role would have been altered. He was recruited as a tight end to fit a pro set offense and Graham's offense is not that.

Still, as I mentioned on Cardiac Hill, I give DeCicco a lot of credit for being willing to give it a shot. He could have left immediately upon Wannstedt's dismissal and transferred much sooner than this.
