Pitt sophomore running back Ray Graham has been named the Big East's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Panthers' 35-16 win against Buffalo on Saturday at Heinz Field.
↵Graham scored a trio of touchdowns and racked up 201 yards on 29 carries, good for a 6.9 yard per carry average in the victory over the Bulls and keyed a 231-yard attack on the ground for the Panthers. It's the second highest rushing total of his career so far, topped only by last season's 277-yard effort against Florida International.
↵Penn State cornerback Chaz Powell also earned honors on Monday, taking home the Big Ten's Special Teams Player of the Week award for his 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening kickoff of the Nittany Lions' game against Indiana State on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
↵The return put Penn State up 7-0 and put the Lions well on their way to a 41-7 victory.
