Pitt will try for its second Big East conference win on Saturday in a big game against the Georgetown Hoyas.

The Hoyas have been one of the best teams in the conference this season and even though Pitt played well in their first Big East win earlier this week against Providence, the team will need to play even better on Saturday to pull out a win over ranked Georgetown.

The good news for Pitt is that starting point guard Tray Woodall appears to be back to form. After a lengthy absence, Woodall returned last week in the team's game against Louisville. He played poorly in that game, but against the Friars on Wednesday, Woodall had a breakout game scoring 17 points and tallying nine assists against only a single turnover. Most exciting, perhaps, was his accurate shooting as he made six of his eight field goals and all four of his three-point attempts.

The Panthers have been desperately seeking a second scorer to pair along with the struggling Ashton Gibbs and they may have it with Woodall. Nasir Robinson is capable of being a scorer, but isn't a great candidate for a No. 2 guy, largely because he's far undersized for a power forward. He does have the ability to create mismatches against taller players at times, but Pitt really needs to get Woodall going on offense so that he's not only a threat to pass, but to score as well.

And to win against Georgetown, that Pitt offense is going to be needed. The Hoyas have played good defense all season and have held nearly a third of their opponents (six of 19) to an astounding 50 or fewer points. The Panthers' shooting woes have been well documented all season and if they aren't able to score on Saturday, that will all but assure a Georgetown victory.
