Big East Football Standings 2012: Rutgers, Louisville still undefeated, Cincinnati falls

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Louisville Cardinals kept it moving with conference wins, but the Cincinnati Bearcats dropped their first game of the season, losing to Toledo in a non-conference matchup.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Louisville Cardinals remained undefeated, but the Cincinnati Bearcats dropped a shocker as they fell to a MAC squad, their first loss of the year.

The Pitt Panthers still have yet to win a Big East game, but they handled their business in a non-conference in a matchup against 1-6 Buffalo. The Bulls didn't muster a touchdown and Pittsburgh rolled to a 20-6 win. Pitt is joined at the bottom of the conference by South Florida and Connecticut, who are also 1-3 in conference, but Pitt has the best overall record of those teams at 3-4 and is still in the hunt for a bowl bid.

On the top end of the conference, Rutgers coasted to a 35-10 win over Temple, while Louisville escaped from a matchup with South Florida with a 27-25 win. Cincy's loss came as a surprise, as the ranked Bearcats were the expected winners in a matchup with the Toledo Rockets, but they lost the road game against a team that is now 7-1 in the MAC with their only loss coming to Arizona Week 1.
