The Pitt Panthers and West Virginia Mountaineers will play on national network television this weekend, as Pitt battles No. 3 Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, while No. 21 West Virginia takes on TCU at 3 p.m. ET on FOX.
After falling to 2-4, Pitt has won two consecutive games, including a 47-17 blowout victory over Temple on Oct. 27, to even its record. The Panthers will be considerable underdogs against the Fighting Irish, who are coming off of a statement-making 30-13 victory over Oklahoma.
West Virginia has undoubtedly lost some luster after a 5-0 start, suffering consecutive blowout losses to Texas Tech and Kansas State. After averaging 52 points per game in their five victories, the Mountaineers have been held to 14 points in each of their two defeats. They'll look to get back on track against the Horned Frogs, who have had their own struggles of late in losing three out of four.
The Penn State Nittany Lions are in action this weekend as well. They'll hit the road to face the Purdue Boilermakers in Big Ten action. The Nittany Lions' five-game winning streak came to an end last week in a 35-23 loss to Ohio State. The game is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff, and will be televised on ESPNU.
