Big East Football Standings 2012: Louisville stays unbeaten

The Louisville Cardinals went to 9-0 with a win over Temple, remaining the last team in the Big East who has yet to lose a game.

The No. 9 Louisville Cardinals maintained their status as the Big East's only undefeated team with an easy victory over the Temple Owls, moving to 9-0 on the year and coming one game closer to a conference title.

Teddy Bridgewater led the way for Louisville with five touchdown passes in a game that was tied at 17. The Cardinals bumped up a spot from No. 10 to No. 9 in the BCS standings with the win, and stayed undefeated in conference play. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are also undefeated in conference play, but lost a game to Kent State before their bye this past week. The two teams meet in a game that will probably decide the conference championship Nov. 26.

Elsewhere in Big East play, Brendan Kay came in for a benched Munchie Legaux and threw a touchdown as Cincinnati beat Syracuse, 35-24, to stay within arm's length of the conference title, and South Florida beat Connecticut in a showdown between teams that still had yet to win a conference game. Pitt lost a triple-overtime game to Notre Dame, and although the loss was disappointing, a win would not have helped the Panthers out of the Big East cellar.

Here's a look at the full table after Week 10:

Louisville 4-0 9-0
Rutgers 4-0 7-1
Cincinnati 2-1 6-2
Syracuse 3-2 4-5
Temple 2-3 3-5
Pittsburgh 1-3 4-5
South Florida 1-4 3-6
Connecticut 0-4 3-6
