Pitt has officially landed quarterback Chad Voytik and others who submitted their letters of intent Wednesday.
Voytik, who officially committed as 7:01 AM, is a top recruit (he receives a four-star rating from Rivals). He's from Cleveland, Tennessee. He may be the long-term answer to the Panthers' current quarterback problems. Penn State offered him a scholarship a few weeks ago, but he stuck with Pitt.
Other recruits who officially committed Wednesday include offensive lineman Adam Bisnowaty and tight end J.P. Holtz, both from the Pittsburgh area, along with linebacker Devon Porchia (Maryland) and wide receivers Chris Davis and Demitrious Davis of Austintown, Ohio.
At 8:26 AM, the Panthers got a letter of intent from Darryl Render, a defensive lineman from Brook Park, Ohio.
The Panthers have faced an uphill battle in recruiting this year due to the sudden departure of coach Todd Graham to Arizona State.
