The Pittsburgh Panthers were looking to snap their five-game losing streak in their final home game of the season, and they were able to do so by pounding the St. John's Red Storm 89-69 on Wednesday night. Senior Ashton Gibbs made a statement in his final home game as a Panther, picking up 19 points on the night and leading the Panthers in scoring. Dante Taylor also picked up 17 points and 8 rebounds, hitting on all eight of his shots on the night. J.J. Moore was able to also add 14 points from the bench while Lamar Patterson added another 13 points.
The Red Hawks had two players put up big points with D'Angelo Harrison ending the night with 21 points and three steals. Phil Greene also added 18 points, hitting on both of his three-point attempts, and added 7 assists. God'sgift Achiuwa was also able to add 17 points off the bench in the loss.
