Yes, Pitt hosting the CBI is a tremendous disappointment. But the fact remains that the event provides another chance to catch the Panthers.
With a waiting list for season tickets, not all fans can get into a Pitt game all that easily. That will change as the Panthers host Wofford in the first round of the CBI tournament.
Tickets are now on sale through the university’s athletics department website and they’re even affordable. $30.00 courtside seats may already be sold out, but other tickets everywhere else in the arena are only $20.00. Plenty of good seats remained as of Monday night and the chance even exists that Pitt walks away with a win, since the Panthers are big favorites.
Even with the inexpensive tickets, it will be interesting to see what type of crowd Pitt draws to the game. The Panthers don’t even draw all that well for some of their non-conference games and with the season nearing completion, how many fans will care enough to make the trip to the game in the middle of the week.
