2012 CBI Scores: Pitt Beating Wofford In First Half

At halftime, the Pitt Panthers are, unsurprisingly, destroying Wofford, 39-21, in the first round of the CBI. Tray Woodall has 10 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Panthers, while Lamar Patterson has nine points, and Nasir Robinson has six points and seven rebounds.

The Panthers made a questionable decision by agreeing to play in the CBI in the first place, but at least they’re making the best of a bad situation so far. Beginning about four minutes into the half, the Panthers went on a 16-point run, capped by an Ashton Gibbs three-pointer that led Wofford to take a timeout. The rest of the half wasn’t nearly one-sided, but it ended with a three-pointer by J.J. Moore as time expired. Moore got all of his eight first-half points in the last 90 seconds.

Pitt would play Princeton if they beat Wofford. Princeton, Washington State and TCU won in Tuesday night's action.
