CBI Tournament Finals: Washington State Could Be Without Star Brock Motum Against Pitt

Pitt takes on Washington State in the CBI final series, but the Cougars could be without their star in the first game.

Forward Brock Motum was injured, spraining his ankle early in Washington State’s victory against Oregon State last week. He didn’t return in the game and his coach says that there’s a slim chance he plays in the first game against Pitt.

Motum is so injured that he’s even been on crutches so his coach’s assessment might not be that far off. He is the Pac-12’s leading scorer and was the Cougars’ best rebounder this season, so it’s safe to say that if he can’t play, Washington State will be at a disadvantage. The team was able to overcome his absence through most of the game against Oregon State, but they’ll be better off the sooner Motum can get back into the lineup.
