Three players from local schools have been honored as members of the All-Big East team. West Virginia's Kevin Jones is a first-teamer, joining UConn's Jeremy Lamb, Georgetown's Jason Clark, Marquette's Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom, and Syracuse's Kris Joseph.
↵The second team features Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick, Notre Dame's Jack Cooley, Seton Hall's Jordan Theodore, Syracuse's Scoop Jardine, and Villanova's Maalik Wayns.
↵WVU guard Truck Bryant is on the third team, along with Georgetown's Henry Sims, Providence's Vincent Council, Seton Hall's Herb Pope, and Syracuse's Dion Waiters.
↵Ashton Gibbs of Pitt receives an honorable mention, along with DePaul's Cleveland Melvin, Georgetown's Hollis Thompson, Louisville's Kyle Kuric, and St. John's Moe Harkless.
↵Jones and Bryant were West Virginia's clear leaders -- the consistent Jones averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds per game, whereas the more mercurial Bryant averaged 17 points, three assists and three rebounds.
↵Gibbs averaged 15.4 points per game in the Panthers' disappointing season.
