Pitt recruit James Robinson recently participated in the Nike Hoop Summit as a member of Team USA. He'll get another chance to don the red, white, and blue as he was invited to the Team USA U-18 training camp, which will run from June 5-12.
↵Robinson is one of only 24 players invited. Most, including Robinson, are members of the 2012 class and 12 players will eventually be selected for the final team. The team will play from June 16-20 in the FIBA Americas Championship in Brazil.
↵These types of tournaments usually only bring positive things and give incoming freshmen added experience against good competition. A slight downer, though, is that Robinson will likely miss some of the famed local Greentree Summer League if he makes the team.
↵Robinson is a part of Pitt's heralded 2012 class, which also includes Steven Adams and Chris Jones.
