Pitt Linebacker Juan Price To Take Medical Redshirt

Pitt has seen its share of minor injuries in training camp, but save for backup offensive lineman Adam Bisnowaty, who will miss the entire season, the team seemed to dodge the big ones.

But linebacker Juan Price recently announced he's become a casualty according to the Trib-Review's Jerry DiPaola:

Linebacker Ejuan Price tweeted that he will take a medical redshirt after undergoing pectoral surgery in the spring.

On defense, Pitt's linebackers are probably the unit causing the most amount of concern. The defensive line consists of newer players (with the exception of 2011 standout Aaron Donald), but has looked strong through most of training camp and is expected to be solid. And the secondary, which has been an area of concern in recent years, is not only deep, but has quality depth and players still battling for position.

The linebackers are a bit thin and the loss of Price won't help.
