The Pitt Panthers got their first victory of the season this past Saturday against the Virginia Tech Hokies. They'll be seeking their second in a row when they face the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs on Sept 22. They may be doing so in inclement weather, as there are isolated thunderstorms in the forecast for the Pittsburgh area on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman running back Rushel Shell had a great game last weekend for the Panthers, rushing for 157 yards against the Hokie defense. Ray Graham has been leading the Panthers' offense in rushing this season, with 268 yards on the ground so far this season. Graham also has a pair of rushing touchdowns this season.

Pitt fans will be counting on the running game this Saturday, as the Runnin' Bulldog defense has allowed 229 yards per game on the ground in 2012. The bulk of that damage was done in Gardner Webb's opener, as Wofford rushed for over 400 yards in that game. Linebacker Tanner Burch and the defense have been allowing a much more respectable 2.74-yards per carry since the first game of the season.

There is no line on this game, but you can check in on who is favored in other contests here.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game can be seen on ESPN3.
