2013 BBVA Compass Bowl picks and predictions

Most experts around the web favor Ole Miss to beat Pitt in the 2013 BBVA Compass Bowl.

USA TODAY Sports

A late push for bowl eligibility got the Pitt Panthers to the BBVA Compass Bowl for the third straight season, but even at a bowl that has become accustomed to seeing the Panthers, Pittsburgh seems to be facing an uphill climb when taking on the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday.

Around the web, the underdog Panthers aren't getting much love from experts, as at Yahoo! Sports, the two experts, Pat Forde and Graham Watson, are going the way of the Rebels in the matchup.

Though the BBVA Compass might be lost in the shuffle of the final days of bowl season, the game will still feature two AQ conference teams, but even giving Ole Miss a 3.5-point cushion for a spread, the experts at CBS Sports are well convinced the Panthers don't stand a chance. Of the six experts picking against the spread, only Chip Peterson picked the Panthers to come within the margin set by oddsmakers.

The Big East bloggers at ESPN are a bit split on the game, as one expert went the way of the Panthers, while the other went with the Rebels.
