Penguins center Jordan Staal was hit in the hand by a puck today in practice, and he will have surgery and miss "up to" six more weeks. This has got to be frustrating for Staal, who was on the verge of coming back after missing the first several weeks of the season with a foot infection. The Penguins will miss him.
↵Staal had 49 points and was a finalist for the Selke trophy last year. He had been very healthy throughout his career until this year, but now he can't catch a break.
