The Pens have announced that forward Max Talbot, who bruised his foot after being struck by a shot in practice, will be in the lineup for tonight’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Defenseman Brooks Orpik and center Evgeni Malkin, who both missed yesterday’s practice were able to participate in the game-day warmup this morning. Orpik is believed to be highly probable to play, there’s no official word on Malkin, but it’s safe to guess that he will play tonight in Columbus. If Malkin could not have gone, the team probably would have summoned a forward from the minor leagues, and that has not been the case.
