Sidney Crosby Wants To Play In NHL All-Star Game

The Post-Gazette reports that Sidney Crosby, who will miss yet another game Tuesday night against the Red Wings, still wants to play in the NHL All-Star Game on January 30. Crosby disputes a report that he was upset with the NHL for not punishing the Capitals' David Steckel and the Lightning's Victor Hedman enough for causing his concussion.

"That's not even close," Crosby said of the story in the Globe and Mail. "I'll be there if I can be there. I still haven't ruled out being there. Hopefully, the next few days things get better and there's still a slight chance I could be back for that. That's what I'm hoping. If I can be there, I'll be there."

The problem is that the game isn't for almost two more weeks, so it sounds uncertain that Crosby will return by then. The Penguins have struggled to score without him, and later in the article he says "it's hard to put a timetable" on a return date. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
