Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Marc-Andre Fleury, Kris Letang Make NHL All-Star Game

The Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks evidently dominated fan voting for the 2011 NHL All-Star Game, and four Penguins (Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Marc-Andre Fleury and Kris Letang) will join two Blackhawks (Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith) are the first players to win roster spots. The rest of the All-Stars will be chosen later by the NHL, and I doubt any more Penguins will be included.

It's not surprising that Crosby, the best player in the NHL so far this year, was among the six selected, but I'm wondering about the other three Penguins. For example, I guess you could make the argument that Fleury is an All-Star, but the start he had to this season was so awful that he almost lost his job. There's no way he's among the top six players in the NHL this season, as Travis Hughes points out. It looks like Pens fans really went nuts this year and got their players into the All-Star game, so good for them, I guess.
